The Skylight Calendar is a touchscreen wall calendar for the kitchen. In the UK, Skylight's own shop lists the 15-inch model at £290 and the 27-inch Calendar Max at £550, and the optional Plus plan (photos, meal planning, rewards and email import) is £60 a year. It's worth it if your family will genuinely look at a screen on the wall and your plans already live in phone calendars. It's less good value if the real problem is the school emails nobody has read.
Somewhere in your Instagram feed there is a kitchen. It has a white worktop, one lemon in a bowl, and a glowing screen on the wall showing five colour-coded people having a beautifully organised week. That's a Skylight Calendar. Judging by how many UK parents search for it, a lot of us have stood at our own fridge, looked at a magnet holding up a party invitation from June, and wondered whether £290 would fix it.
Skylight is a touchscreen that hangs on the wall or stands on a worktop and shows the family calendar. It syncs with the calendars you already use, gives each person a colour, and has a chore chart and lists. The free features cover the calendar itself; the optional Plus plan adds most of what you see in the adverts. There's more on that split in our guide to what works without the Skylight subscription.
A beautiful calendar of the wrong information is still the wrong information.
Left: Skylight's strength is that it's a single-purpose screen nobody borrows for YouTube. Right: an old iPad or an Echo Show can show a family calendar too, for less.
On Skylight's UK shop, when we checked in autumn 2026, the 15-inch Skylight Calendar was £290 (£275 when bought with the Plus plan) and the 27-inch Calendar Max was £550 (£525 with Plus). Plus itself is £60 a year in the UK. Prices change and Skylight runs regular sales, so check on the day you buy.
Over three years, a 15-inch Skylight with Plus paid every year comes to roughly £455 to £470, depending on the deal. Without Plus, it's the price of the screen, once. That's the real decision: not whether the screen is nice (it is), but whether the Plus features are worth £5 a month to your family, on top.
Plus is £60 a year. That's £5 a month for photos, meal plans, rewards and email import.
It's worth it if your family's plans already live in phone calendars and the missing piece is a screen everyone can see. Children who can't yet read a phone can find their colour on the wall, and a screen that only does one job doesn't get borrowed for cartoons. It's less good value if the gap is the school itself. Skylight shows what's in the calendars it syncs, so if nobody has put the INSET day, the PE change or the trip deadline in a calendar, the wall can't show it. That's the part Debs does, and Debs can put the school dates on a Skylight too.

Debs, your own school admin assistant, reads the school's emails and the letters attached to them, and fills in the dates, kit, forms and money. It already knows your school's term dates and INSET days. Debs has its own family wall display for a tablet or Echo Show you already own, or you can add Debs's live calendar link to a Skylight and the school dates appear on the wall with everything else. No. The calendar, calendar syncing, lists and the chore chart work without one. The Plus plan, £60 a year in the UK, adds the photo screensaver, meal planning, chore rewards and Magic Import.
Yes. Skylight has a UK shop that sells the 15-inch Calendar and the Calendar Max in pounds, and the Plus plan is priced in pounds too.
It's worth it if your family will look at a screen on the wall and your plans already live in phone calendars. If the problem is school information nobody has entered, a screen alone won't fix it.
Yes. Skylight syncs with Google, Apple, Outlook, Yahoo and Cozi calendars, and with any calendar that has a share link.
