What Debs does

Everything Debs can do

Reads the school stuff for you

  • Reads school, club and class emails from the senders you choose: Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud and more
  • Reads letters, timetables and newsletters from a photo, or attached to an email as a PDF
  • Pulls out dates, deadlines, payments, dress-up and non-uniform days, and forms to reply to
  • Knows your school's term dates and INSET days

Your family's week

  • A live family calendar, each child in their own colour, with the parents' own plans too
  • Lifts and pick-ups, with helpers like grandparents
  • Import other calendars, or see Debs in Google or Apple Calendar
  • A dashboard you can arrange your way

The school bag, sorted

  • Each child's day: what to wear (PE kit, uniform or non-uniform) and what to pack
  • The weather at school, so it tells you when it's a coat or wellies day

Schoolwork

  • Spellings, reading, homework and tests, so you know what's due without asking

Chores & stars

  • Morning, after-school and bedtime routines, plus chores worth more stars
  • Children tick them off and spend their stars on rewards you set
  • Jobs know the day: "Get dressed" says PE kit on PE day, "Bag packed" lists the football boots

Wall display and Alexa

  • A family wall display for a tablet or Echo Show that switches to today by itself
  • Children tap their column to see their day and tick their jobs
  • "Alexa, ask our Debs what we've got on tomorrow"

Ask Debs, reminders and family

  • Chat or talk to Debs, and she answers out loud
  • She drafts messages for you, with Share to WhatsApp
  • Reminders on your phone, the night before and on the day
  • Up to 5 logins, with view-only access for grandparents and carers

Private by design

  • Never keeps your emails: they're read and dropped
  • Not used to train AI
  • Download everything, or delete it, whenever you like
Questions

What parents ask us

What is Debs?

Debs is your own school admin assistant. She reads the school emails and letters from the senders you choose, puts the dates on one family calendar, and tells each child the night before what to wear and what to pack.

Does it read all my emails?

No. You pick the school and club senders, and it only reads emails from those. Everything else in your inbox is left alone, and the emails it reads aren't kept.

Which schools does it work with?

Every state and private school in the UK. Each child can be at a different school, primary or secondary, and each child's day is shown separately.

Can my partner and the grandparents see it?

Yes. Invite a partner or co-parent with full access, and grandparents or a childminder with view-only access, so everyone sees the same calendar without you forwarding anything.

How do chores and stars work?

You set routines (morning, after school, bedtime) and chores, each worth some stars, for one child or all of them, every day or on chosen days. Children tick them off on the app or the wall display, and spend their stars on rewards you choose.

Can my children use it on their iPad?

Yes. In Chores & stars, tap Give the kids the app, give each child a 4-character PIN and open the link on their iPad. They type their PIN and see My day: what to wear, what to pack and their jobs to tick for stars. They can't add or change anything, and when they tick a job you see it too.

Can I use it on an Echo Show or with Alexa?

Yes. Link the "our Debs" skill in Settings, then ask "Alexa, ask our Debs what we've got on tomorrow" for each child's headlines. On an Echo Show you can bring up the family calendar too.

Can I talk to Debs instead of typing?

Yes. Tap the microphone and ask, and Debs answers out loud. You can ask what's on, add something to the calendar, or have her draft a message to send on WhatsApp.

Is there an app?

Yes: Debs goes on your phone's home screen and opens like any other app, with reminders. On Android, open Debs in Chrome and tap Install. On iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

What if Debs gets something wrong?

Debs uses AI to read emails and letters, and AI can make mistakes, so check anything important with the school. If you correct something, Debs learns from it for your family.
